Corporate Social Responsibility

Portfolio+ is committed to inclusive growth. We safeguard the interests of our employees, the society and our planet in the course of our operations. We uphold robust corporate governance standards and embrace environmental responsibility. We undertake several initiatives to conserve water and electricity, and recycle waste at our offices. Portfolio+ partners with non-profits and charities that align with our core values, for community service.

Computers for Schools Plus Program

Portfolio+ is an active participant of the CEO Pledge campaign initiated by Microsoft Canada. Our CEO has pledged to donate computers to the Government of Canada’s Computers for Schools Plus (CFS+) program. The CFS+ program bridges the digital divide in underserved communities by refurbishing digital devices and distributing it to schools and libraries.

Kids Help Phone

Portfolio+ supports Kids Help Phone, a mental wellbeing charity that provides professional counselling and support services for the youth across Canada. We raise funds for Kids Help Phone, which provides volunteer-led, 24/7 e-mental health service in English and French, free of cost.

Volunteering

Our employees are encouraged to contribute to the communities where we live and work.

Our employees take up to 2 days (16 hours) paid time off every calendar year for volunteer service. Employees invest their time and effort in noble causes of their choice such as planting saplings or caring for the elderly.

Stouffville Lions Club

Portfolio+ is a member of the Stouffville Lions Club, which serves the local community. We participate in fundraising and social activities. Our employees donate new toys for the annual Toy Drive campaign organized by the Club.

The Portfolio+ Open

Portfolio+ Open is an annual charity golf tournament. Since 2011, Portfolio+ has hosted professionals from the financial services industry across Canada for a day of golf and networking. The tournament has raised more than C$310,000 for the Kids Help Phone service.
